It's great up North! Last stop - 2 Rivers Radio!
Fresh from our show at East Leeds FM in an old
converted church, Junior Star Singer Songwriter then had the chance to be
broadcast from a cosy pub in the beautiful city of York. 2 Rivers Radio was started by Jez Russell who decided to set up a radio station in the
back of a pub............and why not? We're not sure whether it has been
done before but it certainly is a unique idea. The public can grab a
drink and enjoy a friendly broadcast in their home city on a Sunday when they
broadcast so it's got a very cosy feel to it.
2 Rivers Radio welcomed Junior
Star Singer artists on its Sunday show and broadcast on the lunchtime on Sunday
12th August just after being on East Leeds FM.
Contestants were Ria McCoy, Nisha Clayton and Hannah Parker, all of who gave great performances - see what you think by watching their videos below:
Special guests were Teide Bryce, Georgia Lois, Scott Thornhill and Chloe Dunne who also sang and were interviewed on the show by main presenter Amanda Neale and co-presenter Rachael Summers.

Chloe Dunne is last year's winner
from Junior Star Singer Songwriter who won in the best category for Best Vocalist.
She appeared originally at Surrey Hills Radio and was voted by the judges as
the best vocalist after appearing at the recording studio in London for the
final. She was an original contestant for Junior Star Factor in the early
days before the competition became Junior Star Singer Songwriter.
Chloe has since recorded her single which is her JSS winning song 'Young and Broken' which she recorded with producer Laurence Hobbs in London. Chloe has her own you tube channel and soon you will be able to catch more of her on her own website. For news on how she got on in the studio and what the experience has been like being a winner, read about it on the JSS magazine. Chloe has written her own article on what it has been like for her winning JSS. She has already been on many radio shows, performed at a showcase in Mayfair and has appeared on regional tv..............watch this space for more of Chloe Dunne!
